SVS PB-1000 PRO

The SVS PB-1000 Pro is an active bass reflex subwoofer designed to deliver deep, powerful, and controlled low frequencies, combining high sound pressure levels with precision and natural sound reproduction. Thanks to its dual-ported bass reflex design and a completely redesigned platform compared to the previous generation, it extends low-frequency performance while reducing distortion and improving dynamic impact, making it equally suitable for both Home Theater and high-quality Hi-Fi systems.

The system features a high-excursion 12-inch front-firing driver engineered to move large volumes of air with speed and precision. Its fiber composite cone combines rigidity with low mass, allowing the diaphragm to maintain linear behavior even during extreme excursions. The injection-molded high-excursion surround ensures stable cone movement, helping minimize distortion while preserving the definition and accuracy of the deepest bass frequencies, even at high listening levels.

The motor assembly incorporates a dual ferrite magnet system combined with an extended aluminum pole piece and a high-purity copper voice coil. This configuration improves motor strength, enhances heat dissipation, and reduces power compression under demanding operating conditions. The heavy-duty basket, optimized through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), increases structural rigidity and helps maintain precise control of the driver throughout its entire excursion.

Power is provided by the Sledge STA-325D amplifier, derived from the technologies developed for the brand's flagship models. This Class D amplifier, featuring a fully discrete MOSFET output stage, delivers 325 watts RMS and more than 820 watts of peak power, providing substantial current reserves and precise control of the driver. This architecture enables the subwoofer to reproduce powerful, articulate bass while maintaining speed, accuracy, and control during the most demanding transients.

Signal processing is handled by a 50 MHz Analog Devices DSP with 56-bit double-precision processing, specifically developed to optimize the performance of the bass reflex enclosure. The processor continuously manages the subwoofer's response, ensuring accurate and controlled bass reproduction while improving integration with the listening environment.

All adjustments are accessible through the SVS smartphone app, which communicates with the subwoofer via Bluetooth and allows the user to control volume, crossover frequency, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, and a three-band parametric equalizer directly from the listening position. This solution makes it easy to fine-tune the subwoofer to match the characteristics of both the listening room and the audio system.

The cabinet is constructed from MDF with a thick front baffle, extensive internal bracing, and a dual-ported bass reflex design engineered to maximize efficiency and dynamic capability while minimizing resonance and port turbulence. This construction delivers deeper, cleaner, and more controlled bass performance, maintaining excellent clarity even at the lowest frequencies.

The rear panel features the Intelligent Control Interface (ICI), equipped with an LED display and dedicated controls that provide quick access to the main settings without the need to use the mobile application. Connectivity includes RCA inputs and speaker-level inputs, allowing seamless integration with both modern electronics and amplifiers without a dedicated subwoofer output. A USB port is also provided to power the optional SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter, enabling wireless signal transmission.
