DALI OBERON 7

The Oberon 7 represents the flagship model of DALI’s Oberon series, a two-way floorstanding speaker that integrates three drivers: a 29 mm soft dome tweeter with ultra-lightweight woven fabric and two 180 mm woofers with cellulose and wood fiber cones in a bass-reflex configuration. Compared to speakers in the same price range, both the tweeter and the woofers feature larger diameters, allowing for higher power handling and delivering more extended and detailed dynamics. The SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) technology significantly reduces nonlinear magnetic and mechanical distortion, lowering third-order harmonics and enabling a more relaxed and precise midrange reproduction, with surprising detail even at lower frequencies.

The Oberon 7 cabinet is constructed from high-density MDF machined with CNC precision and finished in premium vinyl; the internal structure is reinforced with solid braces that virtually eliminate cabinet resonances, while the rear bass-reflex ports optimize room integration and enhance bass performance. The shaped aluminum base provides visual lightness and stability, further enhancing the contemporary design, complemented by rounded edges and a fabric grille that adds an elegant and modern touch.

The 180 mm woofers are optimized with a new wood fiber cone structure that combines fine-grain paper pulp and wood fibers, creating a lightweight yet rigid diaphragm capable of reproducing even the smallest signal details accurately. The low-friction suspension and balanced voice coil ensure control, dynamic range, and reduced distortion. The generously sized 29 mm soft dome tweeter generates higher sound pressure with minimal coil movement, providing extended frequency response, wide dispersion, and low coloration.

The Oberon series, led by the Oberon 7, is designed for easy integration into any room thanks to the wide dispersion of the drivers and the optimized cabinet geometry. The sound remains coherent even off-axis, without the need to toe-in the speakers toward the listening position, reducing harmonic distortion and diffraction that could otherwise compromise clarity. The result is a compact and refined floorstanding speaker capable of delivering deep bass, defined mids, and airy highs, with a natural, detailed, and engaging performance across all types of music or cinematic soundtracks.
