CYRUS CLASSIC PHONO

The Classic PHONO is one of the most advanced phono preamplifiers currently available worldwide. This preamplifier allows up to four turntables to be permanently connected, catering to those who enjoy using different arms or cartridges depending on the record being played.

Each input can be precisely adjusted according to the type of cartridge and the user’s acoustic preferences, with the ability to set gain, load, and capacitance for MC cartridges. A selectable warp filter is also provided, designed to maximize amplifier performance. The settings for each input can be saved in memory for future recall, allowing quick switching between turntables, arms, or cartridges without losing the optimal configuration. Real-time stereo level meters facilitate precise gain adjustment, optimizing the available dynamic range for each MC cartridge.

The Classic PHONO is powered by a robust, high-capacity, ultra-low-noise DC power supply, enabling the preamplifier to handle an extended dynamic range and high signal levels without distortion. Attention to circuit layout and component selection ensures an extremely low noise floor, further expanding the musical dynamics. The passive RIAA filtering uses high-performance metallized polyester capacitors, ensuring absolute precision and fidelity in reproduction.

The preamplifier also features a dedicated port for the PSX-R2 power supply, which provides stabilized, ultra-low-noise power, further enhancing overall sound quality and ensuring optimal performance even under demanding conditions.
