Unico DM v2 represents the pinnacle of the Unico series, a power amplifier that combines cutting-edge technology with contemporary design. Its aesthetic line is completely renewed, consistent with the new stylistic language of the Unico family, blending elegance and modernity in every detail.

The front panel, machined from 15 mm thick solid aluminum, conveys solidity and precise craftsmanship. The Midnight Black and Velvet Gold finishes enhance every design detail, while the surface, meticulously refined, is pleasing both to the touch and to the eye. The 2 mm aluminum top cover envelops the entire amplifier, providing a sense of robustness and visual continuity, while the wooden inlays recall the historic Unico logo, emphasizing the connection with the brand’s tradition. The Unison Research® logo becomes an integral part of the design, transforming into the On/Off power button, a distinctive element that combines functionality and identity.

The architecture of Unico DM v2 is dual mono, with each channel powered by a 750 VA encapsulated toroidal transformer, resin-coated and shielded to minimize electromagnetic interference. This configuration ensures complete channel separation and a wide, stable, and three-dimensional soundstage. In bridged mono mode, the power supplies are connected in parallel, providing an even greater energy reserve and uncompromised maximum output.

The three-stage amplification circuit is designed to combine musicality, control, and dynamics. The first stage, a Class A tube stage with two ECC82 / 12AU7 Gold Lion tubes, defines the amplifier’s tonal character, delivering speed, rich detail, and natural sound that conveys the full emotion of the music. The second stage, solid-state, works transparently to adapt the signal to the final stage. The power stage uses a push-pull configuration with complementary technology and three pairs of MOSFETs in parallel, designed to supply all the current required by the load, ensuring authoritative control, high dynamics, and consistently smooth and stable reproduction.

Unico DM v2 introduces A.S.H.A. technology, an innovative solution marking a major technical evolution for the Unico series. From this technology arises the exclusive power stage configuration called Class A-AB, which combines the musical qualities of Class A with the efficiency and reliability of Class AB. The architecture ensures distortion levels that are virtually inaudible and remain constant up to maximum output, delivering an extremely natural reproduction, rich in micro-details, capable of conveying the full musical complexity without any artificiality. Even at low listening levels, the amplifier maintains body, control, and depth in the bass range, providing a full and engaging experience in every condition.

Unico DM v2 is a powerful amplifier with generous energy reserves, capable of driving even complex speakers with authority. In bridged mono operation, the two power supplies are connected in parallel, effectively transforming the dual-mono architecture into a single monophonic amplifier with a single, massive power source. This configuration maximizes available energy capacity, ensuring maximum output with 8 Ω and 4 Ω speakers, delivering immediate dynamics, strong impact, and absolute control without ever compromising refinement and natural sound.
