Yamaha has a 125-year tradition in musical instrument manufacturing and a strong reputation in the HiFi component industry. The R-S202D has been designed using Yamaha’s experience and technology, based on the “Natural Sound” concept to reproduce music faithfully. It is carefully engineered from circuit design to audio reproduction to deliver rich, high-quality sound even in an entry-level model.

High output power* and circuit design for superior audio quality
The R-S202D delivers 100 W* high drive power per channel, above its class. It features optimized circuit layout with shortened signal paths to improve sound quality. Placing the transformer close to the amplifier circuits reduces signal loss while improving power delivery during peaks, enabling high output levels. A single-point ground connection eliminates mutual interference, achieving a better signal-to-noise ratio and producing a full, clear, and open sound. *8 ohms, 40 Hz–20 kHz, 0.2% THD

Bluetooth® compatibility for wireless music streaming
The R-S202D supports Bluetooth® connectivity, allowing wireless music streaming from smartphones and other devices. Users can select tracks from their phone library and enjoy playback through speakers with full power and quality.

DAB/DAB+ digital radio
DAB and DAB+ are digital broadcasting formats that offer a wide selection of radio stations with high sound quality. The system includes automatic station tuning, station lists, and display of station information. Up to 40 DAB/DAB+ stations can be preset.

Simple and refined design
The R-S202D features a clean and elegant design typical of Yamaha HiFi components. Its slim, refined finish integrates well with other audio equipment, while knobs and buttons emphasize simplicity and ease of use.

Speaker selector for two speaker pairs
Thanks to four speaker terminals, the amplifier supports two pairs of speakers. The selector allows easy switching between Speaker A, Speaker B, or simultaneous playback (A+B).

Energy-saving function
An automatic power control function switches the unit to standby when not used for a long period. The timer can be set to 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours or disabled. Standby power consumption is only 0.5 W for efficient energy saving.
