The SVS PC-2000 Pro is an active cylindrical bass reflex subwoofer designed to deliver deep, controlled, and dynamic low-frequency reproduction while maintaining a compact footprint. Its distinctive cylindrical enclosure provides performance comparable to that of conventional box-shaped subwoofers, making it well suited to both Home Theater and Hi-Fi systems where floor space is limited.

The enclosure is constructed from high-density MDF and features a thick structural baffle combined with an extensive internal bracing system designed to increase rigidity while minimizing vibrations and unwanted resonances. Internal acoustic damping material helps reduce cabinet coloration, preserving accurate bass reproduction even at high sound pressure levels.

The system employs a 12-inch down-firing driver, with the woofer facing downward toward the floor. This configuration promotes a more even distribution of low frequencies throughout the listening room while helping to reduce the perceived localization of the sound source. The cone is made from ventilated 1050 aluminum, selected for its favorable stiffness-to-weight ratio, while the high-excursion suspension is engineered to maintain linear driver movement throughout its operating range.

The motor assembly incorporates a dual ferrite magnet structure designed to provide high driving force, enabling the driver to move large volumes of air while maintaining precise control and accuracy, even at the lowest frequencies. A high-purity copper voice coil and a ventilated cooling system improve heat dissipation and ensure stable operation during extended listening sessions.

Amplification is provided by the SVS Sledge STA-550D Class D amplifier with discrete MOSFET output stages, designed to combine high efficiency, dynamic capability, and precise driver control. The amplifier delivers 550 watts RMS of continuous power and more than 1,500 watts of peak power, providing ample headroom for demanding program material.

Signal processing is managed by an Analog Devices DSP, allowing precise adjustment of the subwoofer's operating parameters. Through the rear-panel Intelligent Control Interface or the SVS mobile app, users can adjust volume, crossover frequency, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, and parametric equalization to optimize performance for the listening environment.

The dedicated app, available for iOS, Android, and Amazon Fire devices, also allows complete control of all settings directly from the listening position and supports the storage of custom presets for different applications, such as music or home theater. Two-way communication between the app and the subwoofer keeps settings synchronized in real time.

The PC-2000 Pro also offers selectable frequency response modes, allowing users to prioritize either maximum low-frequency extension or a tighter, more controlled bass response depending on room acoustics and listening preferences.

Connectivity includes stereo RCA inputs and outputs, a trigger input for automatic power-on, and a USB port dedicated to servicing and powering the optional SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter. The subwoofer also incorporates the SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System with elastomer feet, designed to reduce vibration transfer to the floor and contribute to cleaner, more controlled bass reproduction.
