The Yamaha NS-IC600 in-ceiling speaker is a 6.5-inch coaxial solution designed to blend discreetly into both residential and professional environments, delivering a clean, natural, and well-balanced sound performance. Its structure is engineered to provide an immersive listening experience while maintaining a minimal visual footprint once installed.
The system uses a woofer with a Blue PP mica-reinforced polypropylene cone and a dual voice coil configuration, designed to ensure precise, deep, and controlled bass reproduction. This design allows the speaker to maintain good clarity even at high power levels, supporting handling of up to 120 watts.
High frequencies are handled by two fluid-cooled soft dome tweeters, which are swivel-mounted to allow better sound directionality depending on the installation environment and listening position. This contributes to more detailed, smooth, and coherent high-frequency reproduction, improving the overall perception of the soundstage.
The acoustic design also integrates a spiral-pattern horn baffle, intended to promote a more even and natural sound dispersion, reducing distortion and enhancing overall clarity. The goal is to achieve a balanced audio output that is well distributed throughout the space.
From an installation perspective, the speaker features a slim, low-profile grille that becomes nearly invisible once mounted, blending seamlessly into the surface. The grille is secured with magnetic mounts, making it easy to remove for maintenance, cleaning, or repainting.
The structure is completed by a rear plastic protective cover that shields internal components during installation, and a large anti-slip treated angled clamp designed to ensure a stable, secure, and precise mounting within the wall or ceiling.
