The Triangle Solstice 8 is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed for large rooms, combining a wide soundstage with precise and natural reproduction. The design incorporates the main innovations developed for the Solstice range, including a new horn-loaded tweeter, optimizations to the midrange and woofer drivers, and a multifunctional base designed to improve the loudspeaker's mechanical and acoustic performance.

The low-frequency section uses two woofers designed to provide extended bass response and good dynamic capability. This configuration allows the loudspeaker to reproduce both the scale of large orchestral formations and passages characterized by greater rhythmic energy, while maintaining controlled low frequencies.

The mid-to-high frequency section contributes to a wide and precise soundstage, allowing the harmonic richness of instruments and the nuances of vocals to be clearly reproduced. The design aims to maintain a coherent transition between the different frequency ranges while preserving natural timbres and detail.

The new TZ2540MG horn-loaded tweeter is one of the key elements of the acoustic development of the Solstice range. The driver features a new phase plug designed to optimize high-frequency dispersion and a horn with a revised profile and barrel-type front opening, designed to control sound propagation.

The base incorporates a bass-reflex system with a hidden laminar-flow port, a solution developed specifically for the range and designed to reduce turbulence and airflow noise while maintaining dynamic and controlled low-frequency output.

The base structure combines a cast-iron honeycomb section with an external silicone layer. The combination of these two materials helps absorb vibrations generated by the loudspeaker and promotes mechanical decoupling from the floor.

The 2° inclination of the base slightly adjusts the loudspeaker's orientation towards the listening position, helping to widen the listening area and optimize directivity. The base also incorporates adjustable metal spikes and counter-spikes, providing stability on different types of flooring.

The Solstice 8 features dual terminals compatible with bi-wiring and bi-amping connections, allowing the connection to be configured according to the amplification system used. Its dynamic capability and driver configuration make it suitable both for Hi-Fi reproduction and integration into home cinema systems, with recommended use in rooms of approximately 15 to 50 m².

The design also incorporates principles developed for Triangle's Antal series of floorstanding loudspeakers, integrating them into a more advanced configuration intended to reproduce a spacious sound field with an open presentation, suitable for both music listening and cinematic reproduction.
