A compact floorstanding loudspeaker that combines Tannoy’s heritage with modern innovation, featuring the renowned 25 cm Dual Concentric™ driver with a paper suspension. This design is engineered to deliver deep, controlled bass, smooth midrange reproduction and crisp, detailed high frequencies. The resulting stereo presentation is coherent and engaging, with impressive spatial depth and a stable soundstage that draws the listener in. These characteristics are shared by all Prestige models equipped with the Dual Concentric™ system.

Each component and cabinet is hand-assembled using traditional techniques, ensuring careful attention to detail and a distinctive style that preserve the exclusivity of these loudspeakers. The all-wood finish gives them a timeless appearance, while the robust front grille, fitted with a locking mechanism, provides easy access without compromising the overall aesthetics. Their compact dimensions simplify placement, allowing them to integrate harmoniously into a wide range of settings, from historic buildings to modern and contemporary interiors.

The crossover design has been completely revised for the SE models, incorporating high-quality components and advanced technologies to optimise acoustic performance. The crossovers are hand-wired, with meticulous attention to cable routing to avoid signal degradation and minimise component coupling effects. The midrange is exceptionally transparent, delivering realistic, natural vocal reproduction, while the high frequencies are handled by ICW Clarity Caps capacitors and the low frequencies by high-quality metallised capacitors and low-loss laminated iron-core inductors. All internal connections, from the input terminals to the crossover and the Dual Concentric™ driver, use silver-plated, halogen-free VDH MC CS18 cables to ensure reliable signal transmission.

The five-terminal connection panel features gold-plated contacts and bi-wiring capability. Its fifth terminal allows the driver chassis to be connected to ground, helping minimise RF interference and further improve midrange transparency. A traditional five-position control is also provided to adjust tweeter output, allowing the sound to be tailored to the listening environment and personal preferences. The Tannoy Stirling SE thus combines a realistic, engaging sound with refined craftsmanship and a distinctive design intended to stand the test of time.
