The Stirling SE is a compact floorstanding loudspeaker that combines Tannoy’s tradition and innovation, featuring the renowned 25 cm Dual Concentric™ driver with a paper suspension, designed to deliver controlled, deep bass together with smooth midrange and clear, detailed high frequencies. The stereo reproduction is coherent and engaging, with a surprising sense of spatiality and a stable soundstage that draws the listener into the performance, characteristics shared by all Prestige models equipped with the Dual Concentric™ system.

Each component and cabinet is hand-assembled using traditional techniques, with meticulous attention to detail and a distinctive style that preserve the character of these loudspeakers. The full-wood finish provides a timeless appearance, while the robust, lockable front grille allows easy access without compromising the overall aesthetics. The compact dimensions make positioning straightforward, allowing the speakers to integrate naturally into a wide range of environments, from historic castles to modern and contemporary spaces.

The crossover design has been completely revised for the “SE” models, using high-quality components and advanced technologies to optimize acoustic performance. The crossovers are hand-wired with meticulous attention to cable routing, avoiding signal degradation and reducing coupling effects between components. The midrange is exceptionally transparent, providing realistic and natural vocal clarity, while the high frequencies are handled by ICW Clarity Caps capacitors and the low frequencies by quality metallized capacitors and low-loss laminated iron-core inductors. All internal connections, from the input terminals through the crossover to the Dual Concentric™ driver, use silver-plated, halogen-free VDH MC CS18 cables for signal transmission.

The five-way terminal panel, featuring gold-plated contacts and bi-wiring capability, allows the driver chassis to be connected to ground through the fifth terminal, minimizing RF interference and further improving midrange transparency. The classic five-position control is also provided, allowing tweeter efficiency to be adjusted to suit the listening environment and personal preferences. The Stirling SE therefore combines a realistic and engaging sound with refined craftsmanship and a design intended for long-term use.
