The Olympica Nova V is a floorstanding loudspeaker capable of delivering powerful, controlled low frequencies thanks to its three woofers, which integrate seamlessly with the midrange and high frequencies to produce a warm, detailed, and immersive sound while maintaining balance and naturalness across all types of music.

The asymmetrical, lute-shaped cabinet, an iconic feature of Sonus faber’s design philosophy, is engineered to minimize internal resonances and preserve sonic purity, while the three-way tower configuration with reflex port ensures dynamic, fluid, and coherent reproduction.

Beyond its acoustic performance, the Olympica Nova V exemplifies refined handcrafted woodwork, designed to integrate elegantly into any listening environment. The enclosure combines natural wood veneers with aluminum accents, featuring a hand-finished walnut or wenge front panel mounted in a solid die-cast aluminum plate. The Italian leather rings surrounding the woofers are applied by hand at Sonus faber’s Vicenza factory, highlighting meticulous attention to detail and exceptional build quality.

The high-frequency section relies on a Damped Apex Dome (D.A.D.) tweeter with a 28 mm silk dome, designed to improve accuracy and naturalness in the upper range while reducing the typical phase anomalies of soft dome diaphragms. Its monoblock die-cast aluminum structure enhances rigidity and precision, contributing to a refined and detailed sound reproduction.

The Italian-made woofers feature a unique sandwich construction, combining two layers of cellulose pulp with a high-tech foam layer, providing fast response, structural stiffness, and timbral coherence with the midrange drivers.

The Stealth Ultraflex system, crafted from a single extruded aluminum element, optimizes airflow within the port, reducing turbulence and distortion, and improving clarity and control of low frequencies even at high listening levels.

The crossover network employs a Paracross topology, which is less sensitive to radio-frequency interference, offers excellent transient response, and maintains extremely low noise, aided by Clarity Cap capacitors specially developed for Sonus faber.

The cabinet structure is further reinforced with side panels made of eight layers of curved wood, increasing stability and reducing unwanted vibrations, while internal braces provide solid support to the drivers, ensuring mechanical integrity and consistent sonic performance under demanding conditions.
