The ProAc Response Five is a luxurious pair of floorstanding loudspeakers, designed to deliver a truly high-end listening experience. Every element of their design has been carefully considered to achieve a refined and engaging sonic balance. Low frequencies are handled by two exceptionally fast and responsive 22 cm woofers, supported by a large, deeply tuned bass reflex port. This configuration delivers a full, textured bass response—rich in nuance and musicality—without resorting to artificial tightness. The result is a deep, tuneful bass presentation, particularly well suited to jazz and classical music, rather than the hyper-analytical sound of some modern designs.

At the heart of the sound lies the midrange, rendered with remarkable precision by a 75 mm soft dome ATC driver renowned for its openness, clarity, and detail. It reproduces voices and instruments with natural finesse, without ever sounding fatiguing or harsh. High frequencies are handled by a 20 mm soft dome tweeter featuring a large resonance chamber and a honeycomb-wound voice coil, offering smooth, airy, and refined treble extension that is always accurate and never aggressive.

All drivers are perfectly matched by an expertly engineered crossover network, ensuring tonal coherence and seamless integration across the frequency spectrum. The cabinet is generously sized and heavily damped using materials such as bitumen and lead, significantly reducing unwanted resonances and enhancing overall precision. Each speaker weighs an impressive 60 kg, underscoring the solid construction. On the rear panel, a bi-wiring terminal with rhodium-plated connectors supports both banana plugs and spades, ensuring optimal connectivity.

In listening sessions, the ProAc Response Five stands out for its mature, balanced, and captivating sound.
