The JBL XTi 100 is presented as a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker belonging to the XTi series, designed to combine high performance with a domestic-oriented acoustic approach that still clearly draws inspiration from the professional audio world. The system features a bass reflex cabinet with a distinctive hexagonal structure, engineered to increase overall cabinet rigidity and reduce the formation of internal standing waves. This design integrates the front and side surfaces in a continuous form, contributing to a cleaner and more controlled sound reproduction.

The low-frequency section is handled by two 20 cm woofers with cellulose pulp cones reinforced with ribs, a solution that ensures solid and controlled bass response even at high listening levels. The magnetic circuit design with a bent pole piece is intended to reduce dynamic compression, maintaining greater linearity and control during demanding passages. The midrange is managed by a dedicated 12.5 cm paper cone driver, optimized to deliver natural timbre and coherence in the reproduction of vocals and acoustic instruments.

High frequencies are reproduced by a 2.5 cm dome tweeter featuring a pure titanium diaphragm and aluminium voice coil, a technical solution designed to ensure extension, precision, and good detail retrieval even in the most delicate high-frequency range. The multi-way crossover is designed to provide smooth transitions between the different sections, helping maintain balance and coherence across the entire audio spectrum.

The loudspeaker supports bi-wiring and bi-amplification configurations, offering greater flexibility when pairing with different amplifiers and allowing more precise control of individual frequency ranges. The connection terminals are gold-plated binding posts compatible with banana plugs, ensuring a stable and low-resistance connection.

From a sonic perspective, the JBL XTi 100 is characterized by a dynamic and powerful presentation, with strong low-frequency extension, an articulate and present midrange, and well-defined highs. These characteristics contribute to an engaging sound reproduction with a typical JBL energetic character and a strong ability to fill the listening space.
