Rooted in Acapella’s longstanding tradition, the BassoNobile impresses with its imposing construction and refined engineering solutions. At the heart of its acoustic design is a distinctive 450 mm hyperspherical horn mounted on the side, capable of covering five full octaves of the mid-to-high frequency range with disarming naturalness and precision. While its form may seem eccentric, its true strength lies in delivering an authentic three-dimensional sound image, with time alignment characteristic of a true point source and dynamic power that spans the entire frequency range with authority and control.

Complementing this system are two vertically aligned 10-inch woofers housed in a tall and rigid cabinet, arranged in an MTM (Midwoofer-Tweeter-Midwoofer) configuration, responsible for the low and mid-low frequencies. The result is a tonal balance that unites strength, speed, and coherence. Despite its considerable size—over 110 kg—the BassoNobile employs a two-way design, a deliberate choice that prioritizes signal purity and avoids the complexity of multi-way systems. This configuration forgoes Acapella’s signature ion tweeter, opting instead for a highly efficient mid-high driver whose energy is magnified through its coupling with the large horn, enabling it to reach surprisingly low frequencies while maintaining crystalline tonal integrity.

The resulting sound is spectacular, rich, and immersive. Every track comes to life, as though reconstructed in front of the listener in a vast, tangible soundstage.
