The Wharfedale EVO 5.2 speakers represent the natural evolution of the renowned EVO series, offering a superior hi-fi experience with elegant design and advanced technology. These are three-way, bass-reflex standmount speakers designed to combine the tonal precision and dynamic range of the award-winning EVO4 models with significant improvements in soundstage, bass extension, and overall performance.

At the heart of the EVO 5.2 is the 35×70 mm Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter, capable of reproducing frequencies up to 24 kHz with exceptional speed, detail, and low distortion compared to traditional dome tweeters. This type of driver uses a pleated diaphragm to move air more efficiently and in a controlled manner, ensuring fast transients, even dispersion, and a smooth, precise high-frequency response. The Silentweave™ acoustic material in the tweeter’s rear chamber eliminates unwanted reflections, while the elastomer gasket and ResoFrame™ system control mechanical vibrations, enhancing clarity and naturalness of sound.

The midrange is handled by a 50 mm soft dome driver, separated from the woofer to ensure outstanding tonal accuracy and more natural, expressive vocals. The bass section features a 150 mm woven black Kevlar cone woofer housed in a 27.2-liter cabinet, delivering deep extension down to 38 Hz (-6 dB) and punchy dynamics without compromising control.

With a sensitivity of 88 dB and the ability to handle power from 25 to 120 W, the EVO 5.2 is perfectly suited for both home hi-fi systems and more demanding setups, reaching a maximum sound pressure level of 105 dB. The elegant design allows them to integrate seamlessly into any listening environment, turning music playback into an immersive and detailed experience.
