TRIANGLE SOLSTICE 3

The Triangle Solstice 3 is a two-way bookshelf loudspeaker designed to deliver an extended and well-balanced sound reproduction in a compact format. As the successor to the Comète model, it builds on Triangle's bookshelf speaker heritage while introducing new technical solutions developed for the Solstice range, with the aim of improving accuracy, natural tonal balance, and control across the entire frequency spectrum.

Its sound reproduction is characterized by a balance of detail, dynamics, and naturalness, with a wide and well-defined soundstage. Vocals are reproduced with convincing focus, instruments maintain excellent separation, and the low frequencies remain controlled and well integrated with the rest of the audio spectrum, allowing the speaker to perform effectively across a wide variety of musical genres.

Thanks to its versatility, the Solstice 3 is suitable for both stereo Hi-Fi systems dedicated to music listening and home cinema installations. It can be used as a front speaker in smaller rooms or as a surround speaker in more advanced multichannel systems. When paired with the dedicated S05 stands, it delivers optimal performance in rooms ranging from 10 to 35 m².

One of the key innovations introduced in the Solstice range is the new TZ2540MG horn-loaded tweeter, designed around a dual evolution of its acoustic architecture. The system incorporates a newly developed phase plug that optimizes high-frequency dispersion together with a redesigned horn featuring a barrel-shaped mouth, improving sound distribution and providing a more uniform listening experience throughout the room.

The 16 cm mid-woofer features a newly developed die-cast aluminium basket designed specifically for this series. Its arch-shaped structure provides high rigidity while reducing mechanical resonances, contributing to cleaner sound reproduction. The natural cellulose pulp cone combines fast transient response with accurate tonal reproduction, ensuring natural vocals and realistic instrument timbres.

The cabinet incorporates Triangle's proprietary DVAS (Driver Vibration Absorption System), which minimizes vibrations generated by the driver through an optimized integration of the transducers into the cabinet structure. The increased overall rigidity helps suppress unwanted resonances, improving clarity, low-level detail, and dynamic performance.

The speaker's base performs both acoustic and mechanical functions. It integrates a concealed laminar bass-reflex port that reduces air turbulence while providing controlled and precise low-frequency reproduction. The structure combines a honeycomb cast-iron frame with a thick silicone layer, effectively absorbing vibrations and contributing to the mechanical decoupling of the cabinet. A 2-degree tilt further optimizes the speaker's orientation toward the listening position, widening the effective listening area.

The rear connection panel features newly designed champagne-finished binding posts compatible with both bare speaker wire and banana plugs. The terminal assembly is housed within a silicone ring matched to the cabinet finish, with a sculpted pattern that echoes the design language of the entire range.

For optimal installation, the dedicated S05 speaker stand is available. It features a profiled aluminium column and a glass base, while the top plate is precisely matched to the dimensions of the speaker's base. Aluminium isolation spikes and rubber feet allow installation on different floor surfaces, and the stands are available in the same finishes as the Solstice 3 to provide a consistent visual appearance.
