The SoundLab MiniStat speaker stands out for its surprisingly wide and immersive sound, despite its compact size designed for limited spaces. It is a high-performance hybrid speaker that combines the richness and precision of electrostatics with controlled bass provided by the traditional woofer, delivering a smooth and balanced frequency response that extends up to the upper limits of audibility.

The electrostatic mid-high section with front acoustic lens ensures wide and natural sound dispersion, creating an engaging soundstage that is less sensitive to listening position compared to conventional speakers, while the 6½-inch cone driver handles the low frequencies with control and dynamic precision. Its high efficiency and extended response up to around 20 kHz make the MiniStat suitable for both dynamic music and delicate, detailed recordings, allowing listeners to perceive nuances that often escape other speakers of similar size.

From a technical standpoint, the frequency response ranges from approximately 55 Hz to 20 kHz, nominal impedance is 8 Ohms with high sensitivity around 94 dB/2.83 V/1 m, and the crossover between woofer and electrostatic panel is set at approximately 950 Hz; horizontal dispersion reaches around 90° for a wide sound field, while vertical dispersion of about 40° contributes to a stable and realistic imaging.
