Recalling the “Golden Age” of Hi-Fi, the GT-5000 is inspired by Yamaha’s “Gigantic and Tremendous” turntable range, featuring solid wooden chassis and platters designed to absorb vibrations and ensure superior performance.

Short, straight tonearm for transparent and expansive sound
Accurately capturing audio from the source is the first essential step in achieving true Hi-Fi sound reproduction.
The flagship GT-5000 features a short, straight tonearm designed for increased rigidity, as well as an optimized weight and mechanical balance that improves tracking performance.
Its rigid, simple structure does not require an internal counterweight.

Proprietary belt-drive system for platter stability
The GT-5000’s proprietary belt-drive mechanism minimizes motor cogging and eliminates feedback control for smooth, expansive sound.
The original GT design concept used high-mass construction to counteract feedback. The GT-5000 achieves the same feedback suppression effect through its belt-drive system.
