Belt-drive turntable developed between the late 1960s and early 1970s, featuring a suspended sub-chassis design and an electronic speed control system. Its design introduces several innovations compared to earlier models from the brand, with the aim of reducing the transmission of vibrations and simplifying installation and operation in a domestic environment.

The spring-suspended sub-chassis isolates the platter and tonearm assembly from vibrations transmitted through the supporting surface, helping to minimise feedback. Belt drive is provided by a synchronous motor, while speed regulation is managed by an electronic AC generator stabilised through a Wien bridge circuit. This solution allows platter rotation to be controlled independently of normal fluctuations in mains frequency.

The front-panel selector allows the user to choose between three rotational speeds: 16, 33 and 45 RPM. Speed accuracy can also be checked using the illuminated stroboscope system, which provides visual reference markings on the turntable.

The TD 125 MK II retains the original model's construction philosophy while introducing several updates compared to the first TD 125 version. Its structure combines a supporting base with a suspended sub-chassis, on which the platter and tonearm are mounted. The design prioritises functional construction and straightforward installation, making it suitable for use in a conventional home audio system.
