The signal is transmitted through a dedicated phono output with a strong 5.5 mV level, and the detachable dual RCA cable allows for convenient and secure connection to external components.

The AT-LP140XP includes professional features such as a start/stop button, forward and reverse play, quartz-locked variable pitch control with three selectable ranges (+/-8%, +/-16%, +/-24%), a stroboscopic platter with speed indicator, and a pop-up target light for easier cueing in low-light environments. The damped base construction effectively reduces low-frequency feedback, while the removable, hinged dust cover protects the turntable when not in use.
