The Acoustic Solid Wood Round MPX is one of the most recent additions to the renowned Classic Series from the German manufacturer, positioned between the Classic Wood and the more sophisticated Wood Referenz models. Its construction features a substantial 100 mm multilayer wooden plinth with an exposed and lacquered finish, resting on three adjustable conical feet supported by protective felt pads. The tonearm is mounted on a dedicated metal armboard fixed to the plinth with a single screw, allowing rotational adjustment for precise cartridge alignment and tracking angle optimization.

The 24 V Schneider synchronous motor is housed separately in a heavy enclosure, partially filled with metal to increase stability and minimize unwanted vibrations. Power is transferred to the platter via two elastic drive belts running around its perimeter in what Acoustic Solid refers to as a wire-drive configuration.

Electronic speed control is managed by a dedicated DC-powered unit equipped with an 8-bit microprocessor. This system allows instant switching between 33 and 45 rpm at the touch of a button, while also providing fine speed adjustment through dedicated controls. This feature helps maintain exceptionally stable rotational accuracy and compensates for any minor variations that may occur during operation.
