The Acoustic Solid Solid 110 Metal turntable presents itself as a completely redesigned analogue system, engineered to deliver an even more precise and stable vinyl playback thanks to a series of targeted technical improvements. The project is developed by the German manufacturer according to a philosophy of continuous refinement, in which every mechanical and structural detail is progressively optimised to enhance overall sound performance.

At the core of the model lies one of the most significant innovations of the revision, namely the introduction of a ruby bearing spindle, replacing the previous cast bearing base. Contact is made via a polished ceramic ball, precisely seated within a perfectly calibrated housing, a solution that helps reduce friction and ensures a smoother and more controlled platter rotation, resulting in improved stability and a cleaner sound reproduction.

The turntable structure has also been rethought from a functional perspective, with the integration of the motor and control system into a single housing. This design frees up space around the platter, which is now thicker than in the previous version, and allows a high degree of flexibility in tonearm installation, supporting up to three arms, including 12-inch configurations. The engineering also takes into account maximum precision in mounting accessories, with solutions designed to ensure compatibility and mechanical stability, including a carefully dimensioned support ring.

The drive system remains based on a Berger-derived synchronous motor, while the tonearm is based on the Rega platform, suitably modified by removing the traditional spring-based tracking force adjustment system. The solid aluminium platter, further reinforced, is complemented by a leather mat and an additional plexiglass disc, both contributing to improved vinyl contact and rotational consistency.

Overall, the Solid 110 Metal sits in a very high-quality range and comes close to the performance of the higher model in the range, differing mainly in a slightly less deep bass response while maintaining a highly balanced and precise overall performance, making it a reference in its category.
