The Bluesound NODE 2i is a network music streamer designed to bring high-resolution audio streaming capabilities to virtually any existing Hi-Fi system. Powered by the proprietary BluOS operating system, it provides access to a wide range of digital content, transforming stereo amplifiers, AV receivers, and powered audio systems into platforms compatible with major music streaming services, Internet radio stations, and music libraries stored on computers, network drives, or USB storage devices.

At the core of the system is the BluOS platform, developed to provide intuitive music management through a dedicated application available for mobile devices and computers. The interface allows users to organize their music library, access online streaming services, and control multiple Bluesound devices installed in different rooms simultaneously, creating a synchronized multi-room audio system.

The NODE 2i supports playback of high-resolution audio files up to 24-bit/192 kHz and is compatible with a wide range of compressed and lossless formats, including FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, and MQA. Digital-to-analog conversion is handled by a 32-bit/192 kHz DAC designed to deliver high-quality playback with low distortion and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio.

Connectivity includes both analog and digital inputs and outputs, a dedicated subwoofer output, and a stereo mini-jack headphone output, allowing the NODE 2i to integrate easily into a wide variety of audio systems. Network connectivity is available via Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi, while two-way Bluetooth with aptX HD support enables both wireless audio reception and transmission to compatible devices, providing greater installation flexibility.

Support for major streaming platforms includes services such as Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music HD, Deezer, and many other online music catalogs, as well as thousands of Internet radio stations. It is also compatible with Apple AirPlay 2, allowing synchronized playback of music and podcasts throughout Apple-based multi-room audio systems.

The NODE 2i can be integrated into home automation systems thanks to compatibility with numerous third-party control platforms and supports voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is also prepared for Dirac Live Room Correction, available through dedicated software updates and licensing, enabling optimization of system performance according to the listening environment.
