The Glanz MH-9Bs tonearm represents the first model introduced by the Japanese brand Glanz and stands out for its high effective mass design, engineered to perform at its best when paired with low-compliance cartridges. In this configuration, tracking behavior is particularly stable and precise, allowing the full sonic character of reference cartridges to be expressed, including those from Audio-Technica, Koetsu, Miyajima Labs, My Sonic Lab, Phasemation, Sculpture A, as well as the iconic Ortofon SPU and Denon DL-103. When using heavier cartridges and headshells, the use of an additional counterweight is recommended to maintain optimal balance during operation.
