ISOTEK V5 CORVUS

IsoTek V5 Corvus is a power distribution and conditioning unit designed to deliver cleaner, more stable, and better-controlled power to Hi-Fi and audio-video systems. Combining extensive connectivity with a remarkably compact footprint, it provides an effective solution for optimizing power delivery while minimizing installation space. Housed within its compact chassis are nine independently connected outlets, each linked directly to the central circuit board through a dedicated pathway engineered to preserve the integrity of the supplied power.

Unlike many conventional power distribution products that connect outlets in series, allowing noise generated by connected components to spread between outputs, the V5 Corvus employs an advanced electrical architecture that isolates each outlet individually. This design prevents cross-contamination from differential-mode noise produced by connected electronics, enabling every component in the system to benefit from a cleaner and more consistent power supply.

At the heart of its performance is IsoTek’s proprietary Delta filter topology, developed to provide significantly greater interference suppression than conventional solutions. The system effectively reduces both common-mode and differential-mode mains noise, minimizing electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference that can negatively affect audio performance. Filtering effectiveness increases at higher frequencies, where RFI contamination becomes particularly detrimental to sound quality.

The printed circuit board has also been engineered without compromise, featuring a heavier-than-standard copper load and a silver-plated finish to further enhance conductivity. Complementing this is IsoTek’s proprietary KERP (Kirchhoff’s Equal Resistance Path) technology, developed to ensure identical electrical resistance and equal power distribution across every outlet. As a result, all connected components receive the same quality of power and the same current delivery capability.

Internal wiring is implemented using 2 mm² conductors made from ultra-high-purity 6N OFC copper, fully silver-plated to reduce resistance and improve current-carrying capacity. Insulation is provided by aerospace-grade FEP dielectric material, selected for its excellent insulating characteristics and extremely low dielectric constant, helping preserve power transfer integrity throughout the internal circuitry.

Equipment protection is another key aspect of the design. In the V5 version, the surge protection system has been upgraded to withstand current spikes of up to 45,000 amps. Thanks to IsoTek’s unique sequential and repeatable protection technology, the unit not only safeguards its own circuitry but also protects all connected equipment, ensuring a high level of long-term reliability and security.

To facilitate the creation of more complex installations, the V5 Corvus incorporates a System Link connection that allows multiple units to be connected together while maintaining a proper star-earth reference and reducing the need for multiple wall outlets. The package also includes a practical wall-mounting bracket system, making it easy to install the unit discreetly behind an audio equipment rack.

Like all IsoTek products, the V5 Corvus is designed according to a philosophy that views the entire power path as an integrated system. Its internal wiring follows the same construction principles and utilizes the same premium materials found throughout IsoTek’s power cable range, ensuring complete design consistency across the electrical chain.
