Schuko power distributor designed for use with audio and video components, featuring a construction focused on reducing electrical interference and resonance phenomena that can affect AC power distribution. The design uses a special-grade aluminum chassis that helps shield the circuitry from radio-frequency interference (RFI), while a layer of Formula GC-303 applied to the inside of the chassis base absorbs electromagnetic interference (EMI) originating from the mains supply or generated by internal components.

One of the distributor’s distinctive features is the use of Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF), a material developed by Furutech and used in selected products. NCF combines a special crystalline material capable of generating negative ions and converting thermal energy into far-infrared radiation with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder. This combination is used to provide electrical and mechanical damping properties, helping to control static electricity, vibration, and resonance.

The power distribution section uses Furutech μ-14 internal wiring with a 14 AWG cross-section, selected to maintain low electrical resistance. The Furutech FI-E30 NCF Schuko sockets are connected to the Furutech FI-06 NCF(R) IEC inlet, which features an α (Alpha) pure-copper conductor with rhodium plating. The inlet body is made of nylon and fiberglass with NCF damping material consisting of nano-sized crystals, piezoelectric ceramic particles, and carbon powder. The Schuko sockets also use non-magnetic pure-copper conductors with rhodium plating, designed to provide a stable connection and consistent power transfer.

The metallic components used in the distributor undergo Furutech’s Two-Stage Cryogenic and Demagnetization Alpha Process. The cryogenic treatment brings the metal parts to temperatures between -196 and -250 °C using refrigerants such as liquid nitrogen or helium, acting on the molecular structure and internal stresses of the materials. The second stage involves the patented Ring Demagnetization treatment, which uses a controlled attenuation process to reduce residual magnetization in the components. According to Furutech’s design approach, the combination of these two treatments helps stabilize the structure of the metals and promote electrical conductivity and power and signal transfer.

Formula GC-303 is applied to the inside of the chassis bottom plate and functions as an absorber of EMI interference. This solution works together with the chassis shielding and other construction features to limit interference from the mains supply, including ground noise, voltage fluctuations, high-frequency noise, and interference associated with switching power supplies connected to the same electrical circuit.

The combination of these design solutions is intended to provide more controlled power distribution to connected components. In audio applications, Furutech associates the design with a cleaner background, improved retrieval of information, and more stable reproduction of dynamics and soundstage, while in video applications the distributor is designed to contribute to a more defined image, with reduced phenomena such as ghosting, color shifts, and interference in the form of horizontal or vertical lines.
