The Tiglon TMX-3 is a hybrid isolator made by combining magnesium and white birch, thus merging the robustness of magnesium with the superior sound quality of “Tiglon birch,” which is grown and processed in-house. The cup-shaped design of this isolator helps keep the support spikes firmly in place, preventing accidental falls or shifts, while significantly improving acoustic performance. The design is an evolution of the M series, transforming the previous M1 and M2 models into hybrid versions simply by adding this special cup.

When placing a speaker on these isolators, it is immediately noticeable how the TMX-3 perfectly follows the tilt of the stand, thanks to its special shaping that allows a slight play of movement, making positioning easier without forcing. The sonic perception changes surprisingly: the sound’s perceived volume lowers, as if a few decibels have vanished into thin air, but in reality, this is a frequency rebalancing. This happens because placing the speaker directly on a carpet without these isolators produces an uneven response with emphasized peaks that alter the dynamics of the track. The Tiglon TMX-3, instead, makes the sound dispersion much more uniform, creating a spatially balanced acoustic field that better distributes the sound energy, thus reducing listening fatigue and enhancing detail perception.

Increasing the volume reveals a significant increase in dynamic range and the speaker’s rendering capability, resulting in a more natural and detailed musical expression. The TMX-3’s effect is versatile and depends on the equipment it is placed under: under some speakers, such as the Rosso Fiorentino Volterra, it effectively absorbs unwanted vibrations and transforms them into inaudible frequencies, increasing the sense of spatiality, bandwidth extension, and definition, with a more convincing presence.

Even under electronic equipment, the isolator offers improvements, although less evident and sometimes accompanied by minor compromises, likely related to the quality-price ratio of the components themselves. For equipment already placed on well-designed anti-vibration supports, the TMX-3 tends not to drastically change the performance, suggesting its effect is more noticeable in less optimized systems or during experimentation phases.

Each unit is designed to support a maximum weight of about thirty kilograms, and the pressure applied influences how the system reacts acoustically. This allows the TMX-3 to be considered not just as a simple isolator but as a fine tool for vibration adjustment and compensation, opening new possibilities for tuning and customizing the audio system. Its effectiveness requires patience and attention to detail, encouraging the user to fully explore the offered optimization possibilities, as the approach to sound performance becomes a true experimentation journey.
