The MC-TWO Special cartridge is a fully hand-built moving coil design, engineered to deliver exceptionally high performance. Derived directly from the MC-ONE Special, it stands out for its significantly higher output voltage—2.25 mV per channel—which makes it easier to pair with a wider range of phono stages. The use of carefully matched crystal copper coils ensures tonal consistency and highly refined sonic response.
The "Special" designation is no coincidence—it highlights a series of substantial improvements over the previous version. In particular, the use of a thicker front pole and the addition of a compact, high-efficiency magnet further enhance the cartridge’s resolving power and output level. These design choices increase microdynamics and detail precision, making the MC-TWO Special especially suited to high-definition playback. It offers an impressive frequency response from 5 to 50,000 Hz and outstanding channel separation—over 35 dB at 1 kHz and more than 30 dB at 10 kHz. Each unit takes approximately two weeks of meticulous handcrafting, a testament to the care and precision invested in its production.
