Within the MC X Series, Ortofon redefines the standards of premium Moving Coil cartridges, pushing this technology to even higher levels of performance. The coils, wound with high-purity silver wire, ensure an exceptionally clean signal path, preserving sonic integrity and delivering outstanding precision. The newly developed magnet system, featuring a one-piece pole cylinder integrated into the rear yoke, is designed to maximize magnetic efficiency and, in combination with the silver coils, provides a powerful, interference-free output. Internally developed rubber dampers also play a key role, precisely controlling coil movement, reducing unwanted vibrations, and improving stability, resulting in accurate tracking and minimal distortion.

The supporting structure in stainless steel with a honeycomb geometry, manufactured using MIM technology, offers high mechanical rigidity and forms an ideal foundation for faithful and natural sound reproduction; the PVD surface treatment applied after sintering helps preserve the material’s appearance and properties over time. The essential and elegant design integrates seamlessly with the tonearm and reflects Ortofon’s unmistakable style, combining formal balance and functionality in a product designed for those who want to hear every detail of the music.
