The HANA SH MK II cartridge represents the evolution of the renowned S series, enhancing musical performance and overall value through technical innovations developed by master designer Masao Okada. The new tapered aluminum cantilever, featuring increased rigidity, allows exceptional transfer of vinyl groove modulations to the cartridge generator, delivering more precise and engaging musical detail.
Critical cartridge components, including the yoke, magnetic poles, and gold-plated terminals, undergo cryogenic treatment that optimizes linearity and natural sound, providing a more harmonious and faithful musical reproduction.
The cartridge body features an improved, non-resonant design inspired by the HANA M series, with a matte Soft Feel Black elastomeric resin finish to damp unwanted vibrations. The brass cap and threaded headshell fittings ensure a solid, stable connection, while the slightly heavier MK II weight expands compatibility with a wider range of tonearms, improving bass response and overall dynamics.
