Kimber Kable 12TC

Speaker cable from the Ascent series, designed with a 24-conductor construction based on Kimber Kable's proprietary VariStrand™ geometry. The conductors are made of high-purity OFE copper and arranged in 12 elements for each polarity, with a total cross-sectional equivalent of approximately 8 AWG per pole.

The insulation uses a fluorocarbon/Teflon dielectric, while the particular counter-rotating spiral geometry is designed to minimize cable inductance. The 12TC can be used in both full-range configurations and, with the appropriate termination, in bi-wiring or bi-amping systems.

From an electrical standpoint, the cable features a series inductance of approximately 0.09 µH/m, a parallel capacitance of 494 pF/m and a DC loop resistance of approximately 0.005 Ω/m. It is manufactured by Kimber Kable in Ogden, Utah.

Ortofon LUG B4

Set of connectors for speaker cables, designed for connections between speaker cables, amplifiers and speaker terminals. The connectors are made of machined solid brass with a rhodium-plated finish, selected by Ortofon to provide a stable and durable connection even when frequently connected and disconnected.

The set includes four Y-fork connectors and four banana connectors, allowing the most suitable type of termination to be selected according to the amplifier or speaker terminal. The forks have an 8 mm diameter at the terminal end and 6 mm at the rear, while the banana connectors are designed for use with speaker terminals.

The cable connection is made through a base secured with two tightening screws, while the kit also includes red and black heat-shrink tubing for polarity identification and an L-shaped hex key for fastening. The system is designed to allow the same cable to be used with either fork or banana termination by replacing the connector on the base attached to the cable.
