The Nordost Frey 2 interconnect cable incorporates technical solutions derived directly from the company's reference models, with the goal of ensuring exceptionally precise signal transmission while maximizing the overall performance of an audio system. Its design employs proprietary Nordost technologies to minimize losses, interference, and signal degradation, preserving signal integrity throughout the entire transmission path.

Its proprietary Dual Mono-Filament construction, first introduced in the legendary Valhalla reference series, suspends the conductors within the insulation to create a virtual air dielectric. This unique architecture minimizes contact between the conductors and the insulating material, reducing energy storage and contributing to faster, more stable, and more accurate signal transmission.

The solid-core silver-plated OFC copper conductors, combined with continuous FEP insulation, create an electrically and mechanically optimized structure that promotes low-loss signal transfer and exceptionally fast transient response. The conductor dimensions are carefully optimized to allow connected components to perform at their full potential, improving transparency, precision, and the natural character of the musical presentation.

Compared to the lower models in the Norse 2 Series, the Frey 2 employs a greater number of conductors. This design enhances ground integrity while further reducing the noise floor.
