Pair of interconnect cables with Neutrik NC3 MXX XLR terminations, assembled by HiFi Di Prinzio, available in various lengths.
The BCD Genius II is a stereo analogue signal cable designed for connecting line-level audio sources to amplification or preamplification devices, with the aim of ensuring the most stable and interference-free signal transmission possible. It belongs to the Audio Analogue interconnect range and is positioned in the hi-fi segment, featuring a construction focused on minimising signal loss and protecting low-voltage audio signals.
The cable is built in a shielded configuration, with dedicated conductors for stereo signal transmission and a geometry designed to reduce parasitic electrical parameters such as capacitance and inductance, which can affect frequency response and signal definition. The external shielding helps reduce the influence of electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, contributing to a quieter noise floor and improved channel separation.
Neutrik NC3 MXX connector
Made with a robust die-cast zinc shell with nickel finish and silver contacts, it ensures high-quality signal transmission and long service life even under intensive use conditions.
The new design introduces a more solid and compact body structure, improving overall mechanical strength and increasing protection against impacts and stress. In the male version, the traditional locking window is removed in favour of a more closed and reinforced design, enhancing durability and connection security. The locking system is more precise and reliable, helping maintain a stable connection even in professional environments subject to frequent mating and unmating cycles.
The chuck-type strain relief is further improved, providing higher pull-out resistance while making assembly faster and easier. A polyurethane boot adds protection against cable bending stress, reducing the risk of long-term damage and extending overall service life. The overall design also features clean and ergonomic lines, making the connector practical to use while maintaining a professional and refined appearance.
Colour-coded rings and boots are available to simplify identification and coding of connections in complex systems, while the internal thread of the shell is effectively protected against damage, further enhancing overall robustness. Overall, the next-generation XLR connector, available in both male and female versions, represents a significant evolution of the standard, designed to deliver greater reliability, easier assembly, and improved contact integrity.
