It is a fully balanced preamplifier, equipped with highly versatile line inputs: 2 x balanced XLR and 4 x unbalanced RCA, plus 2 tape inputs RCA. The outputs include 2 pairs of balanced XLR, one of which can be selected as RCA, offering maximum flexibility for integration into complex systems.
In listening, the CPA 4000 stands out for the transparency and precision typical of Chord: timbres remain natural, the midrange is vivid and detailed, the highs are airy without being harsh, and the soundstage is wide and stable.
