The Proceed AMP2 features a “multiple monaural” configuration, in which each channel has its own dedicated power supply and a 300VA toroidal transformer. This architecture minimizes channel interference, ensuring a more precise sound image and a more natural spatial reproduction. The low-impedance power supply is carefully engineered: capacitors are mounted directly on the circuit board, close to the output transistors, to guarantee an immediate and stable response even under high current demands. The internal paths are short and thick, reinforced with high-purity copper bus bars to maximize current capacity and optimize overall performance.

Each channel can be configured to receive either balanced or unbalanced signals, providing maximum flexibility and compatibility with various preamplifiers. The use of balanced connections significantly reduces electrical noise and interference, further enhancing signal purity. The robust output stage employs eight 150-watt transistors, carefully selected and matched to ensure load uniformity, stability, and long-term reliability.

The amplifier is equipped with advanced protection systems that automatically activate in the event of overheating or the presence of direct current at the output, disconnecting the unit from the mains to safeguard both the device and the speakers. Each transformer is protected by dedicated fuses against possible overcurrent conditions, while an inrush limiter reduces component stress during power-up.

Certified for use in Home THX® systems, the Proceed AMP2 meets the strict standards set by Lucasfilm for home theater audio equipment: low electrical and mechanical noise, flat frequency response, adequate power, and stability even with demanding speaker loads. However, its performance exceeds the minimum requirements of THX certification, offering a level of refinement and precision that satisfies both cinephiles and the most discerning audiophiles.
