In this amplifier, performance limits are determined not by the machine itself, but solely by the quality of the source, the speakers, and the listening environment. The power supply section has been significantly enhanced: while the Standard 404 uses a total capacitance of 57,000 µF, the Reference reaches an impressive 107,000 µF, with 21,000 µF reserved exclusively for the preamplifier. This extraordinary increase improves driving behavior, dynamics, fine-detail articulation, soundstage depth, and instrument separation, while providing a more authoritative, secure, and controlled bass. Each instrument is rendered with greater clarity and definition compared to the Standard version.
