The McIntosh MA5300 integrated amplifier proves that great sound can come in a compact form. It is the smallest solid-state integrated amplifier in the McIntosh lineup, both in terms of output power and physical size, making it the ideal choice for smaller spaces or for those just starting to build a home audio system. This direct-coupled amplifier delivers 100 watts per channel into 8-ohm speakers or 160 watts per channel into 4-ohm speakers. The new dual-scale blue watt meters provide accurate power readings for both 4- and 8-ohm impedances.

The MA5300 offers 12 inputs, including 6 analog (4 unbalanced, 1 balanced, and 1 Moving Magnet phono input) and 6 digital (2 coaxial, 2 optical, 1 USB, and 1 proprietary MCT input for use with McIntosh’s MCT series SACD/CD transports). All digital inputs are housed in the DA1 Digital Audio Module, which can be replaced with future modules as new digital audio technologies emerge. The DA1 features an 8-channel, 32-bit DAC operating in Quad Balanced mode, supporting up to DSD256 and DXD 384kHz for high-resolution audio playback. All inputs can be easily renamed for convenient system configuration and control.

The MA5300 includes McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks™, connected to advanced high-current output transistors that eliminate warm-up time, allowing full sonic performance from the moment the unit is powered on. Powerful control microprocessors ensure smooth and precise system operation, while premium-quality audio components deliver the best possible sound. Bass and treble tone controls are included, allowing users to fine-tune their listening experience according to personal preference.

The MA5300 is also Roon Tested by Roon Labs, ensuring seamless compatibility with Roon’s music management platform. McIntosh provided equipment to Roon for testing with various operating systems and computers, ensuring optimal performance and integration.

Completing the MA5300 are McIntosh’s time-proven technologies, including Power Guard®, Sentry Monitor™, Home Theater PassThru, a High Drive headphone amplifier with Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD®), and gold-plated speaker binding posts. Its classic McIntosh design—with blue watt meters, black glass front panel, aluminum end caps, control knobs, and illuminated logo—makes it instantly recognizable as a true McIntosh component.
