MARANTZ CINEMA 50 S2

The Marantz CINEMA 50 Series 2 is a 9-channel AV receiver designed for home cinema systems and dedicated home entertainment setups. It delivers 110 W per channel and provides a preamplifier section with up to 11.4-channel outputs, allowing more elaborate multichannel configurations and the addition of external power amplifiers when required.

Dolby Atmos support allows dedicated ceiling speakers to be used together with channels positioned at listener height, creating three-dimensional reproduction in which effects can also be distributed vertically. Management of the various channels allows an extended surround sound field to be reproduced, suitable for films, soundtracks, video games and multichannel content.

The digital section incorporates an updated high-performance DAC designed to improve the resolution, clarity and dynamic range of signals from different sources. The circuitry is combined with selected components and a design approach aimed at maintaining balanced reproduction for both music listening and home cinema applications.

The CINEMA 50 Series 2 features six HDMI inputs compatible with 8K signals and three 8K HDMI outputs, allowing TVs, projectors and digital sources of the latest generation to be connected. Connectivity also includes HDMI eARC for connection to a TV and management of audio from applications and sources integrated into the display.

The HEOS platform provides access to wireless music streaming and allows the AV receiver to be integrated into compatible multi-room systems. Source and content management can therefore include both directly connected devices and music sources available over the network.

The aesthetic design follows the language of the CINEMA series through balanced proportions, carefully selected materials and a front panel characterised by distinctive Marantz design elements. The unit is designed to fit into audio and video systems of varying complexity, combining processing, amplification and source management functions in a single unit.
