In Italian, it means “At the Edge of Faith” and is the title of the new, tenth album by the Italian psychedelic-progressive art rock band Twenty Four Hours. The word “Faith” is intended more as a completely lost trust in a wandering and dehumanized humanity.

As tradition dictates, the ten tracks on the album (+ 3–4 additional tracks available only on CD and digital files) were played and recorded at Easter 2025 in a trullo in Locorotondo, at the Agriturismo Il Ciliegieto, capturing the extraordinary acoustics of these typical structures in the Valle d’Itria.

Sound Engineer and Producer Dario Ravelli (Alice, Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, Third Ear Band, Gianluca Grignani, Inti Illimani, Fairport Convention, Pentangle) captured with his precious microphones the unique reverberation of the trullo’s conical structure. These buildings almost always feature irregular, non-parallel walls, resulting in a very pleasant sound even on home hi-fi systems.

The band had already recorded independently in 1995 inside a trullo using analog reel-to-reel equipment (two Fostex R8 machines) for their third album Oval Dreams, which remains Twenty Four Hours’ most successful record, having been reissued in four editions between 1998 and 2013.

This tenth album coincides with an important anniversary for the band: it has been exactly forty years since the group’s birth—or rather, rebirth—in Autumn 1985 from the ashes of Onyx Marker/The Pause, their two previous projects.

The album cover, inspired by Fairport Convention’s masterpiece Unhalfbricking, shows in the foreground the married owners of the trullo where the recordings took place, and in the background, on the trullo roof, the band members with the producer. The photo was taken by their friend, photographer Antonio Tartaglione.

At the Edge of Faith is dedicated to their longtime bassist Nico Colucci, who passed away last year after a long battle with a neurodegenerative disease.

It is also dedicated to victims of workplace bullying (particularly the track “Complimenti”) and to Prof. Claudio Lippe, father of the Lippe brothers, known instead for his strict meritocratic principles and focus on optimizing quality of life in the workplace.

The album is pressed on transparent eco-vinyl.

Once all 300 vinyl copies and 150–200 CDs are sold out, the album will be made available for streaming on Bandcamp, Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, etc.
