Founded in 1977 as a label focused exclusively on classical repertoire, Telarc has gained worldwide recognition and acclaim from both critics and enthusiasts for its artistic philosophy and exceptionally high sound quality. The label was established by two musicians, Jack Renner and Robert Woods, who quickly brought their extraordinary catalog and distinctive sound to the forefront. Over time, Telarc has won more than 50 Grammy Awards, attesting to the absolute excellence of its recordings. Artistically, Telarc has built long and fruitful collaborations with many of the most acclaimed figures in the American orchestral scene, including "the prince of pop" Erich Kunzel with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Robert Shaw with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Leonard Slatkin with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. These collaborations have resulted in a long series of albums that have justly become legends. This unmissable album, aptly titled A Spectacular Sound Experience, offers a delightful taste of some of these extraordinary recordings, presented in the superb audiophile vinyl format, a medium that can be played on all CD players.
