This record presents a selection of the finest compositions by Respighi. The exotic atmosphere and the sense of barbaric splendour that permeate these works are sure to delight listeners. Great music deserved a great recording, and in this respect Prof. Johnson never disappoints. Noteworthy is the masterful conducting of the orchestra by Eiji Oue, reaching his twelfth recording with Reference Recordings.
Keith Johnson’s magnificent recording is further enhanced by the 200-gram vinyl pressing, carried out at one of the finest pressing plants in the United States.
