In 1982, a 24-year-old guitarist named Chris Jones came to our Northeim studio to record 10 songs for his first album using a 2-inch tape recorder, a mixer, and Günter Pauler. This marked the beginning of the extraordinary creative collaboration between Stockfisch Records and the brilliant guitarist Chris Jones, which would last over two decades. On the occasion of the release, Chris wrote:
“My first LP (yes, it was released before CDs were invented!) No Looking Back is included here in its digitally remastered 1982 form, apart from the fact that I have grown old and fat. The songs are still personal (perhaps even more so, I’ve lived and learned a lot over these 17 years) and the music means as much to me now as it did then.”
