Ben Webster is universally regarded as one of the greatest and most influential tenor saxophonists in jazz history. The album Ben Webster Meets Oscar Peterson includes some of the most beautiful tracks recorded with Oscar Peterson, whom the tenor saxophonist often referred to as his favorite accompanist.

With the aim of offering the international audiophile community a state-of-the-art version of some of the most beautiful and historically important albums in jazz history, the Acoustic Sounds Verve Label Group and Universal Music Enterprises audiophile series presents vinyl reissues that have been crafted using the skills of some of the world’s most accomplished sound engineers and the currently unmatched production technologies of Quality Record Pressings. All titles in this series have been carefully remastered from the original analog tapes, pressed on 180-gram vinyl, and presented in luxurious old-style tip-on covers made by Stoughton Printing. Additionally, all the records are supervised by Chad Kassem, CEO of Acoustic Sounds, the world’s most important audiophile label.
