Founded in 1973 by Carl Jefferson, following the extraordinary success of his jazz festival, which had quickly won both the public and the critics, Concord Jazz became one of the most important jazz labels in the world. This was thanks to the presence of some of the most acclaimed soloists of the time, including Art Blakey, Ray Brown, Charlie Byrd, Rosemary Clooney, Stan Getz, Mel Tormé, and many others.
