The design is based on a sealed enclosure, a configuration chosen for its fast transient response, tonal accuracy, and natural sound compared to traditional ported systems. Constructed from high-density MDF and reinforced with extensive internal bracing, the cabinet effectively minimizes resonances and unwanted coloration, ensuring clean, neutral sound even at high sound pressure levels. Dedicated elastomer isolation feet further enhance stability by reducing vibration transfer to the floor and minimizing room-induced acoustic artifacts.

At the heart of the system is a newly developed 13-inch ultra-high-excursion driver designed to deliver powerful, authoritative, and precisely controlled bass. The cone is manufactured from pure 1100-series aluminum, a lightweight, acoustically neutral material that maintains exceptional linearity even at maximum excursion while preserving detail and tonal accuracy. The long-throw SBR surround allows for extensive cone movement while maintaining complete control, while the overhung motor assembly featuring dual ferrite toroidal magnets provides exceptional magnetic strength, linearity, and rapid transient response even under the most demanding operating conditions.

A key element of the design is the Flat-Edge Split-Wind voice coil, engineered to optimize magnetic force distribution during high-excursion operation while reducing the overall mass of the moving assembly. This solution enables exceptionally dynamic performance with deep, fast, and energetic bass without sacrificing precision or control. The system is completed by a robust die-cast aluminum basket optimized through finite element analysis (FEA) to maximize structural rigidity and ensure highly efficient energy transfer.

Power is supplied by the new STA-1200D2 amplifier, capable of delivering 1,200 watts RMS continuously and more than 4,000 watts of peak power. The design combines the efficiency of Class D amplification with the high-current capability of discrete MOSFET output devices, maintaining complete control of the driver even during the most demanding dynamic passages and high-output playback. SVS's proprietary switch-mode power supply continuously monitors voltage, current, and temperature through multiple sensors, ensuring consistent performance, long-term reliability, and operational stability under all conditions.

Signal processing is handled by a sophisticated 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP engineered to coordinate amplifier and driver operation in real time. The processor continuously monitors cone excursion, output current, and supply voltage, optimizing system performance to achieve linear frequency response, outstanding dynamics, and exceptionally low distortion. The 56-bit digital signal processing, combined with a premium DAC offering a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 120 dB, preserves maximum signal integrity while significantly reducing background noise and increasing available dynamic headroom.

Connectivity includes both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR inputs, allowing seamless integration into home audio systems as well as professional audio installations or applications requiring long cable runs while maintaining maximum signal integrity.

The subwoofer can be configured either through the rear-panel OLED display or via the SVS Subwoofer Control app, available for iOS, Android, and Amazon Fire devices. Using the Bluetooth interface, users can adjust volume, crossover frequency, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, and six parametric equalizers, as well as control power functions and store up to three custom presets for applications such as music listening, movie playback, or night mode. The system is also prepared for SVS Auto Room EQ, designed to analyze room acoustics and automatically optimize subwoofer performance through dedicated equalization filters.
