Jamo D 8CEN

The Jamo D 8 CEN is born from the experience of the historic Danish company Jamo, one of the leading European loudspeaker manufacturers, and is designed to deliver high-level performance within high-end home theater systems. Intended for horizontal placement above or below the television, this center speaker adopts a three-way configuration with dual 6.5-inch woofers, a 1.5-inch dome midrange, and a 1-inch dome tweeter, a solution that ensures precise dialogue reproduction, excellent tonal balance, and outstanding speech intelligibility.

The design reflects the typical aesthetic and construction philosophy of the Danish brand, characterized by elegant lines, refined finishes, and premium materials. The D 8 CEN incorporates numerous technical solutions derived from the Concert series, including voice coils wound with pure silver wire, high-quality oxygen-free copper internal wiring manufactured directly by Jamo, 24-karat gold-plated terminals, and carefully selected and matched components.

The structure uses neodymium magnets, die-cast magnesium frames, and fine wood veneers, elements that contribute both to acoustic performance and the refined appearance of the speaker.

Special attention is also given to the cabinet construction, designed to minimize vibrations and unwanted coloration. The front baffle uses a proprietary structure called Non-Coloration Compound, composed of quartz sand mixed with damping materials and enclosed within molded synthetic shells, a solution that provides high rigidity and strong acoustic inertia.

The cabinet is made of thick MDF with dedicated internal bracing and lined with honeycomb-pattern acoustic foam, designed to maximize resonance control and improve playback accuracy.
