Wharfedale’s EVO4 series is the natural evolution of the extensive research and development behind the flagship ELYSIAN range, from which it inherits a wealth of high-level technical solutions. At the heart of the design is the innovative AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter, which introduces a radically different and highly efficient way of reproducing high-frequency detail with remarkable transparency, accuracy, and refinement—even in the most complex passages.

The cabinet mirrors the same construction philosophy used in the ELYSIAN line, offering a rigid and well-damped structure that provides a solid foundation for the drivers. This minimizes unwanted resonances and enhances the overall sonic coherence. The rounded edges of the enclosure are not merely an aesthetic touch; they play a key role in seamlessly integrating the acoustic output with the room environment, contributing to improved sound dispersion and a more natural stereo image.

Another essential element is the inclusion of the SLPP (Slot Loaded Profiled Port) bass reflex system, also originally developed for the ELYSIAN series. This solution optimizes airflow through the reflex port, reducing turbulence and improving both the extension and definition of low frequencies. Altogether, these technologies make EVO4 a loudspeaker series capable of delivering refined acoustic performance, with a balanced and immersive sound presentation that blends beautifully into domestic spaces while staying true to Wharfedale’s audiophile philosophy.
