Floorstanding loudspeaker belonging to the Prestige series, featuring a large cabinet and a compound horn-loading system developed according to the traditional design approach of the model. The configuration combines this architecture with technical solutions aimed at controlling the behaviour of the driver and reproducing a wide dynamic range.

The loudspeaker system uses a 15" Dual Concentric unit with an Alnico magnet and a coaxial structure that integrates the low/mid-frequency section with the high-frequency section. The design also incorporates a PepperPot WaveGuide formed in the throat, developed to improve transient response and increase the loudspeaker's sensitivity. The cone features a stiff edge suspension, while a dedicated chassis earthing system contributes to controlling the mechanical and electrical behaviour of the unit.

The cabinet has an internal volume of approximately 530 litres and incorporates a complex horn-loading system. The large front surface and the specific geometry of the acoustic path allow the loudspeaker to reach very low frequencies and handle high sound pressure levels, while maintaining a defined and transparent midrange reproduction.

The configuration is designed to reproduce variations in the intensity of musical instruments with high dynamics, taking advantage of the system's high efficiency and large radiating area. The Westminster Royal SE thus follows the design principles of Tannoy's large Prestige loudspeakers, combining horn loading and the Dual Concentric driver in a large-scale system.
