The ProAc Response D18 speakers represent the most refined evolution of the Response series, designed to deliver superior sound quality combined with an elegant and understated aesthetic. Intended for those who seek a natural, transparent, and detailed sound, the D18 adapts easily to different listening environments thanks to its versatility and simple placement. The cabinet is built from 19 mm MDF, veneered inside and out, with reinforcements and damping that increase rigidity and reduce unwanted resonances. The design is further optimized with side ventilation, as in ProAc’s high-end models, allowing better internal pressure management and cleaner sound reproduction.

The D18 features a SEAS woofer specifically designed for ProAc and a Scan Speak tweeter, a combination that ensures precision, detail, and naturalness across the entire frequency range. The bass reflex port, located at the base of the speaker, delivers smooth and stable low frequencies, providing deep and controlled bass without compromising overall musicality. Compared to the D15, the D18 includes a completely redesigned cabinet, an advanced low-frequency driver with a larger EXCEL magnet and acrylic phase-damping system, and a revised crossover for improved linearity and tonal coherence.

In listening, the ProAc D18 produces full, well-defined bass, fast and intelligible midrange, and sweet, detailed highs.
