The ProAc Response DT8 floorstanding speaker exemplifies the brand’s in-depth research into diaphragm materials, applied for the first time in a two-way design by the British manufacturer. ProAc carefully selects different materials for each driver to achieve optimal performance across the full frequency range. The Response DT8 features two 6.5-inch woofers with cellulose and mica cones, delivering exceptional bass performance in a ported cabinet with side-firing vents, while the polypropylene-coned driver provides detailed, natural, and uncolored midrange. The harmonious interaction between the drivers produces an extended low-frequency response and clear, natural mids with precise and well-defined imaging.

Frequency management is handled by a crossover designed by Stewart Tyler, intelligently overlapping the different bands and seamlessly integrating the 1-inch soft dome tweeter, mounted in an offset position between the two woofers. This design allows the Response DT8 to deliver consistent, detailed, and balanced musical reproduction while maintaining the natural, engaging sound signature typical of ProAc speakers. Positioned as the entry-level floorstanding model in the ProAc lineup, the Response DT8 combines intelligent design, carefully selected materials, and high-quality sound, offering a refined and accessible listening experience.
